“ Visited for Sunday lunch in Feb 2025, as a family of 4 with 2 pre teen kids. Great quality food. Good sized kids meals. Service by bloke with a beard was exceptional. Roast dinner's were really good, if anything they were a tad too large! Some excellent walking locally, although best to avoid anywhere shared with mountain bikes. ”

I was particularly struck by a very charming corner featuring comfortable burgundy sofas and an elegant display of fine wine bottles, adding a touch of class to the environment. “ Nice place, with a decent selection of drinks including local beers. Plenty of space, and the service is quick and friendly. The chairs are comfortable which I hugely appreciated after a day of walking! They also have a log burner inside, and WiFi for customers. There’s a large outdoor seating area too, which I can imagine is nice in the summer. ”

“ Beautiful country pub in the heart of peaslake. Lots of outdoor seating where you can watch the cyclists and walkers go by. Some amazing local beers and extensive wine list. The food is a mix of English and authentic Italian. There are also 15 boutique rooms if you want to stay overnight. The pub is open 7 days a week, 10 am till 11 pm, serving food all day, Friday, Sunday, and lunch and dinner from Mon to Thurs. They also offer a takeaway service, food, and drinks between 5pm and 9pm. ”
